DSC Systems Graphics started converting drafting and diazo media for engineering companies, architectural firms, and reprographic services companies in 1984. Through the 90’s the company expanded its converting capabilities with the acquisition of high speed slitter rewinders and enlarging its production space.
With the new technologies of Inkjet plotting and Xerographic copying becoming the norm in the wide format market, DSC began a telemarketing program directly targeting federal, state, and local governments as well as expanding it’s coverage to A/E firms in the Mid-Atlantic region.
Another area which DSC began to penetrate was the display graphics market. With the knowledge of converting wide format media, DSC began purchasing mil rolls of high end graphics products such as photo base papers, vinyls, backlit films, banner materials, etc. and market these products under the DSC label to photo labs, sign shops, and other graphic services organizations.
This graphics market along with the A/E business created another opportunity for DSC. Large organizations who did not have the converting or distribution capabilities of wide format media began out-sourcing their needs to DSC and because of the company’s reputation for quality, turnaround time and knowledge of the expanding wide format business, it appears that this out-sourcing opportunity will continue to grow for DSC in the future.
One of the most important assets of DSC Systems Graphics is the people. The core of DSC’s employees have an average of 16 years of service with a solid understanding of performance at the highest quality level. DSC Systems Graphics would not be in existence today without the hard work and dedication of these long term employees.
